Please join me in welcoming Chrissy Bailey as the new Lead Entity Coordinator of the Spokane Salmon Restoration Collaborative! She brings more than 20 years of experience in environmental planning, natural resource management, and collaborative watershed initiatives in Washington State. Prior to joining the Spokane Tribe of Indians, Chrissy spent much of her career with the Washington State Department of Ecology, where her work included coordinating complex, multi-partner efforts involving Tribal Nations, state and federal agencies, local governments, and community stakeholders. Her experience includes salmon and aquatic habitat restoration planning, environmental review, shoreline management, grant and project coordination, and collaborative facilitation.
Born and raised in Spokane, Chrissy is especially grateful for the opportunity to bring her experience home and contribute to salmon reintroduction, habitat restoration, and long-term watershed recovery in the Spokane River Basin. She is excited to support the Collaborative’s growing partnerships and help advance locally driven restoration efforts in a landscape that has always been important to her.
